Liqui Moly’s business in India has matured significantly over the past two years, with the company strengthening its focus on customer development, expanding its partner network and supporting workshops with innovative solutions to address their day-to-day challenges.
According to Mr. Gunda Balasubrahmanyam, Export – Indian Sub Continent, Liqui Moly, the company has built a growing network of partners across major cities and states in India. “The network of our partners is growing, and we are proud to have good partners aboard covering major cities and states in India,” he says.
With Liqui Moly offering a wide range of products in Germany, the company also sees considerable scope for introducing new products to the Indian market in a phased manner. This, Balasubrahmanyam believes, will help the company steadily expand its customer base while responding to evolving market requirements.
New products and workshop solutions
Liqui Moly will also maintain its strong presence at Automechanika Frankfurt, where the company has been an active participant for several decades. The exhibition provides an important platform to showcase new products and workshop solutions, as well as engage directly with customers.
“We are happy to launch new products and workshop solutions and would like to request our customers to visit us and give us a chance to explain these products,” says Balasubrahmanyam.
The company’s focus on workshop solutions comes against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving aftermarket, where mechanics are increasingly required to deal with changing vehicle technologies and maintenance needs.
Premiumisation driving aftermarket change
In India, one of the key trends shaping the aftermarket is premiumisation, accompanied by greater customer awareness. Vehicle owners are increasingly researching their requirements online and making more informed choices about products and maintenance.
“Indian automotive customers are slowly moving towards premiumisation as they are getting aware of their needs and also take time to find out more information on the web,” Balasubrahmanyam explains.
The growing focus on flex fuels is another development that is likely to influence vehicle maintenance in India. With both petrol and diesel vehicles continuing to form a significant part of the market, regular maintenance will remain important to ensure vehicles deliver the desired level of performance.
Liqui Moly believes it is well placed to address these changing requirements through its product portfolio, while continuing to develop solutions that can make workshop operations more efficient. “We are also developing many workshop solutions to optimise the work of mechanics in their daily work,” Balasubrahmanyam adds.
With an expanding partner network, a phased approach to introducing products and a growing focus on workshop solutions, Liqui Moly is looking to build further momentum in the Indian aftermarket while responding to the changing needs of customers and workshops.
