Uno Minda has expanded its aftermarket portfolio with the launch of a new tropical and anti-freeze engine coolant range, aimed at addressing the growing challenges posed by extreme and fluctuating operating conditions.
The coolant range will be available through offline retail outlets as well as online platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Uno Minda’s own digital store, ensuring wider accessibility across the country. Pricing starts at ₹272 for the tropical variant and ₹575 for the anti-freeze variant.
With vehicles increasingly exposed to diverse climates—from high ambient heat to sub-zero temperatures—engine systems are under greater stress, often leading to overheating, reduced efficiency, and higher maintenance needs. Conventional coolants, in many cases, fall short of delivering consistent protection across such varied environments.
The newly introduced coolant range from Uno Minda is engineered to ensure reliable performance across temperature extremes. Developed using Organic Acid Technology (OAT) and high-performance additives, the products are designed to offer enhanced thermal stability, long service life, and protection against rust, corrosion, and oxidation.
The tropical variant focuses on efficient heat dissipation in high-temperature conditions, while the anti-freeze variant is formulated to prevent freezing and maintain smooth engine operation in colder climates. The concentrated formulation allows flexible dilution and compatibility across a wide range of vehicles, making it suitable for varied usage scenarios.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Anand Kumar, Business Head, Uno Minda Aftermarket, highlighted the increasing need for dependable engine protection as vehicles operate under more demanding conditions. He noted that the new range is designed to deliver consistent performance, durability, and improved engine efficiency over time.
