Raipur-based Godawari Electric Motors will be launching its electric 2-wheeler & 3-wheeler at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023. The company will be launching an e-auto (L5M) and an e-bicycle at the expo. The company announced last month that its e-auto will have complete vehicle body panels made of DCPD material. DCPD is the latest plastic technology and offers a wide range of benefits. The material is impact resistant and has been referred to as ‘virtually unbreakable’ making the vehicle strong enough to work during harsh conditions and rust-proof.
Godawari Electric Motors will also be showcasing the prototype of its e-scooter, e-loader and e-rickshaw at the Auto Expo. All these products will be manufactured from its upcoming manufacturing facility in Raipur and are expected to be launched in the upcoming financial year. The company had announced that it has invested up to INR 150 crore for setting up an EV manufacturing plant in Raipur.
Launched in July 2019 as Godawari EMobility, Godawari Electric Motors aims to provide self-employment to millions and reduce the carbon footprint in the country with its state-of-the-art e-mobility solutions. It is the brainchild of Siddharth Agarwal and Mahendra Agrawal and was founded with the vision of providing a non-polluting, sustainable commute by offering a complete range of EV products. What makes Godawari Electric Motors unique is that it is one of the first companies to launch a leasing model in the EV space in India.
