Kia India has announced that the Carens family has surpassed three lakh cumulative sales in India, marking a significant milestone for one of the company’s most important products in the country. The achievement reflects the model’s consistent evolution in line with changing customer expectations across safety, technology, comfort, and design.

The Carens lineup has grown significantly since its launch, expanding from the original model to include the Carens Clavis and the Carens Clavis EV. While the Carens Clavis raised the bar on premium family mobility with elevated design and advanced technology, the Carens Clavis EV brought practical electric mobility to Indian families without compromising on space or versatility. The lineup now offers petrol, diesel, and electric powertrain options, giving buyers the flexibility to choose a solution suited to their lifestyle and needs.
Mr. Sunhack Park, Chief Sales Officer of Kia India, said, “The 300,000-unit milestone for the Carens underscores its position as a segment leader and a true gamechanger in the MPV space. This achievement is a direct result of our product-led strategy, our sharp understanding of customer needs, and our unwavering focus on quality. It strengthens our conviction that the Carens is the benchmark for its class, and we are energized to build on this momentum as we accelerate our growth journey.”
The Carens Clavis EV is powered by motors producing 99 kW and 126 kW with 255 Nm of torque, offered with two battery options — a 51.4 kWh pack with a range of 490 km and a 42 kWh pack with a range of 404 km. Fast charging takes the battery from 10 to 80% in just 39 minutes. The model is available in both six and seven-seater configurations.
Across cumulative sales, petrol variants account for 60%, diesel for 30%, and EVs for 10%. Top trim variants contribute 18% of total sales, reflecting growing customer willingness to invest in advanced safety features, connected technology, and premium comfort.
