Volkswagen India has launched the updated Taigun at a starting price of INR 10,99,900 (ex-showroom), introducing a host of feature upgrades along with an industry-leading ownership programme aimed at enhancing customer confidence.

The new Taigun comes with up to 40 updates, offering nine colour options and the addition of an 8-speed automatic transmission paired with the 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine. The refreshed SUV continues to build on Volkswagen’s strong SUVW strategy in India, combining performance, safety, and design with improved value.
Alongside the product update, Volkswagen has introduced an assured buyback programme, offering a residual value of 75% of the ex-showroom price for customers opting for ownership up to three years or 30,000 km (terms and conditions apply). The programme is valid for bookings made until 31 May 2026 and is designed to provide greater peace of mind, easier upgrade options, and improved ownership experience.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Nitin Kohli, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said the Taigun has been a key pillar of the brand’s India strategy. He noted that higher trim variants have historically accounted for nearly 60% of sales, and the new model has been packaged to deliver better value across variants.
He added that the assured buyback programme is a significant step towards strengthening customer trust by offering financial clarity, enhanced resale value, and a more seamless upgrade path.
