Mercedes-Benz today announced a bouquet of service offerings and initiatives aimed at elevating the luxury ownership experience and lowering total cost of ownership for customers. The company introduced India’s first AI-powered automated Vehicle Scanner at the Landmark Cars service facility in Mumbai, digitalising vehicle condition assessment at service reception for a faster, more transparent experience. Mercedes-Benz also inaugurated Landmark Cars Mumbai, its 14th luxury facility in the city and Mumbai’s largest luxury service facility.

Both initiatives are part of Mercedes-Benz India’s ‘Go to Customer’ strategy, built on five pillars: seamless ownership experience, time efficacy, tech and AI-driven trust and loyalty, WOW moments for customers, and lower cost of ownership with transparency. Under these pillars, the company is rolling out offerings including MB.CHARGE Public, the MBFS app, and the India-developed ‘SKYLine’ Dealer Management System for convenience; Premier Express Prime, Fast Lane B&P, and Doorstep Mobile Service for time efficacy; an HV Battery Report, Collision Care Connected Support, tele-diagnostic Mobility Assistance, and a Chauffeur Training Programme for trust; India’s largest Classic Car Community and regular Customer Experience Days for loyalty; AI-powered query resolution and curated lifestyle collections for customer delight; and the STAR EASE service package with a 3-year standard warranty and ADVANCE ASSURANCE extended warranty for lower ownership costs.

Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “We aspire to be the ‘Mercedes of Service’ by questioning the status quo, challenging the existing servicing norms and steadily integrating AI and latest technology in creating customer convenience. WE are continuously enhancing service efficiency and adding incremental customer value at every touch point, by optimizing overall cost of ownership for our discerning customers. Introduction of India’s first AI driven, automated vehicle scanner marks an important step in the deployment of AI and automation for driving transparency, trust and efficiency, resulting in desirable customer ownership experience for Mercedes-Benz. While offerings like ‘Service Select’ optimizes TCO for existing customers, inaugurating Mumbai’s largest luxury service facility underlines our deep commitment for customers, who will be immensely benefitted from Mercedes-Benz’s service innovations and differentiation.”
The company also highlighted ‘Service Select,’ its largest loyalty programme for vehicles seven years and older, offering up to 25% savings on select parts, Mobilio Lite benefits, a 2-year parts warranty, and residual value protection.

Mr. Sanjay Thakker, Chairman & Executive Director, Landmark Cars, said the new Mumbai facility and Vehicle Scanner will drive customer convenience and experience, reinforcing the company’s “customer first” approach as it expands its presence across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and Maharashtra alongside Mercedes-Benz.
On how it works: as a vehicle passes through the scanner, a 360-degree high-resolution camera system captures its exterior condition and transmits data to the Mercedes-Benz cloud, where AI detects damage and measures tyre tread depth. Findings are automatically linked to the workshop order, eliminating manual entry and paperwork. Customers view their vehicle’s condition on a tablet, approve required work on the spot, and receive a consistent, standardised assessment on every visit — freeing service advisors to focus on personalised interaction rather than documentation.

The new 2S facility, completed in about six months, spans roughly 58,000 sq. ft. with 16 Preventive Maintenance & General Repair bays, nine Body & Paint bays and supporting bays, a 6,000 sq. ft. spare-parts area, and around 95 trained professionals. It is India’s first facility to feature the AI-powered XENTRY Vehicle Scanner.
The launch is part of Mercedes-Benz India’s broader expansion plan to add more than 20 luxury outlets in 2026, backed by an investment of over ₹450 crore by its Franchise Partners over the next two years.
