JK Tyre & Industries Limited has appointed Mr. Mandar Deo as President – India, signalling a strategic leadership move as the company looks to accelerate its growth trajectory in the domestic market. He will be based in Delhi and report to Chairman & Managing Director Dr. Raghupati Singhania and Managing Director Anshuman Singhania.
Mr. Deo brings over two decades of leadership experience across reputed organisations, including Exide Energy Solutions Limited, Cummins India and Cummins Inc. With a strong academic background—holding a degree in mechanical engineering from Pune University, along with a Master’s and PhD from Pennsylvania State University, and an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business—he is expected to play a key role in strengthening JK Tyre’s strategic direction.
Welcoming the appointment, Dr. Singhania expressed confidence in Mr. Deo’s ability to steer the company into its next phase of growth, highlighting the importance of strong leadership in navigating an evolving automotive and mobility landscape.
JK Tyre, a pioneer of radial tyre technology in India, has built a strong global presence across over 105 countries, supported by 11 manufacturing facilities and an annual production capacity exceeding 35 million tyres. The company continues to focus on innovation, backed by its advanced R&D centre in Mysore, the Raghupati Singhania Centre of Excellence.
In recent years, JK Tyre has also strengthened its technology-led positioning with initiatives such as India’s first Smart Tyre technology integrated with TPMS, enabling real-time monitoring of tyre parameters. At the same time, its commitment to sustainability is reflected in its participation in the global RE100 initiative, targeting 100% renewable electricity usage by 2050.
With Mr. Deo at the helm of its India operations, JK Tyre is expected to further sharpen its focus on innovation, operational excellence and market expansion, as it positions itself for the next phase of growth in a rapidly transforming mobility ecosystem.
