Ashok Leyland has announced the launch of TWIN FUEL variants of its popular light commercial vehicles – DOST and DOST+ XL. The vehicles were unveiled by Amandeep Singh, President – LCV, IO, Defence & Power Solutions, in the presence of Viplav Shah, Head – LCV Business.
The newly launched TWIN FUEL models are equipped with advanced technology that enables seamless switching between Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and petrol, offering customers enhanced flexibility and peace of mind. The technology addresses a key concern among CNG users – range anxiety and the challenge of limited refuelling infrastructure. With dual-fuel capability, customers can switch between CNG and petrol effortlessly, ensuring uninterrupted journeys and the ability to cover longer distances without compromise.

The TWIN FUEL DOST offers a benchmark payload capacity of 1,218 kg and a driving range of 400 km, supported by a 120-litre CNG tank and an additional 5-litre petrol tank for emergencies. The TWIN FUEL DOST+ XL delivers a segment-defining payload of 1,410 kg, with a 148-litre CNG tank and a 5-litre petrol tank, enabling a superior range of 500 km. These capabilities translate into higher uptime, increased earning potential, and improved operational efficiency.
By introducing TWIN FUEL technology in its trusted DOST range, Ashok Leyland is addressing the evolving needs of urban and semi-urban logistics operators, last-mile delivery businesses, and small enterprises. The TWIN FUEL DOST is priced at ₹8.20 lakh (ex-showroom), while the TWIN FUEL DOST+ XL starts at ₹8.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
