Ultraviolette Offers Up to ₹30,000 to Help Petrol Riders Switch to Electric

With petrol prices continuing to weigh on household budgets across India, electric motorcycle maker Ultraviolette has announced a new initiative aimed at making the switch to electric mobility more accessible and rewarding for two-wheeler buyers. Under the programme, prospective buyers can unlock benefits of up to ₹30,000 towards the purchase of an Ultraviolette motorcycle, based on their riding history and vehicle usage.

The initiative works by translating kilometres already ridden on petrol into ownership benefits — a move that underscores one of the most tangible advantages of electric mobility: freedom from recurring fuel expenses. The company says the programme is designed to give riders a concrete financial reason to make the transition, without asking them to compromise on performance, technology, or riding experience.

“The rising cost of petrol has been a topic of widespread discussion for some time now, but there has been relatively little action that directly helps consumers transition away from fuel dependency. Through this programme, we are enabling prospective two-wheeler owners across India to make that switch with greater confidence, while benefiting from significantly lower running costs, advanced technology, and a superior ownership experience,” Narayan Subramaniam, CEO & Co-founder, Ultraviolette.

Ultraviolette has been steadily expanding its retail footprint and growing customer adoption in the Indian market, while also making progress in international markets. The latest initiative reflects the company’s broader focus on accelerating EV adoption by making the ownership transition easier and more rewarding for riders nationwide.
