Oben Electric Launches Rorr EVO at ₹99,999

Oben Electric has launched its new electric motorcycle, the Rorr EVO, at an introductory price of ₹99,999 (ex-showroom) for the first 10,000 customers, positioning it as a no-compromise offering that blends performance, practicality and everyday usability.

The Rorr EVO will be available in four colour options and will be priced at ₹1,24,999 after the introductory phase. Bookings have opened at ₹777, with test rides and deliveries scheduled to begin from June 2026 across 150 showrooms.

The Rorr EVO marks a significant step in the evolution of electric motorcycles in India, as the segment shifts from being seen as an alternative to becoming a mainstream choice. Designed as a complete streetfighter, the motorcycle combines bold styling with real-world functionality, targeting riders who seek both thrill and convenience.

The bike delivers a top speed of 110 km/h and a certified range of 180 km (IDC), making it suitable for daily commuting as well as longer rides. It supports fast charging from 0 to 80 percent in 90 minutes and also features an onboard charger for added convenience.

A key highlight is the introduction of SmartIQ, an AI-based ride mode that adapts to riding patterns in real time to optimise performance and extend range by up to 15 percent. The motorcycle is powered by an IP68-rated motor and a 3.4 kWh LFP battery, designed for Indian conditions with higher heat resistance and longer lifecycle. The battery is backed by an 8-year warranty.

Oben has taken a vertically integrated approach, developing core components such as the motor, battery, charger and software in-house. This is aimed at improving reliability, enabling faster innovation and ensuring better control over product quality.

In terms of practicality, the Rorr EVO introduces features rarely seen in the segment, including 10 litres of storage, dual USB charging ports, reverse mode and a long, comfortable seat. With a seat height of 780 mm and ground clearance of 200 mm, the motorcycle is designed to handle diverse road and usage conditions, including water-wading capability.

The motorcycle also integrates safety and connectivity features such as fall detection with emergency alerts, unified braking assist and a digital TFT display with navigation and smart notifications. Through its mobile app, users can access ride data, remote diagnostics and theft protection.

Ms. Madhumita Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Oben Electric, said the launch reflects a shift in how electric motorcycles are being perceived in India, with riders now expecting them to match conventional motorcycles in all aspects of performance and usability.
