Schaeffler Strengthens Multi-Segment Aftermarket Strategy

ACMA Automechanika 2026 in Delhi provided a strong platform for Schaeffler to highlight the scale and direction of its Vehicle Lifetime Solutions business in India’s rapidly organizing automotive aftermarket.

Sharing Schaeffler’s focus at the show, Mr. Micah Shepard, President, Vehicle Lifetime Solutions Asia Pacific, Schaeffler, said the company continues to build on its passenger vehicle strength while widening its reach across other segments.

“Passenger vehicles remain a strong core for us, while we are expanding our aftermarket presence into commercial vehicles, tractors, and formally entering the two-wheeler segment this year,” said Mr. Shepard. “The portfolio now also includes electronic products following the Vitesco Technologies integration, along with EV-ready repair solutions.”

The two-wheeler aftermarket stood out as a key highlight, supported by sensors, injectors, clutch systems, brake components, and chassis-related products adapted for Indian operating conditions.

Mr. Sharad Bhatia, President, Vehicle Lifetime Solutions, Schaeffler India, underlined the importance of India as a growth market. “The Indian aftermarket is among the fastest growing globally, and our focus is on strengthening our product basket across engine, transmission, and chassis platforms with the right technology and cost balance,” said Mr. Bhatia.

Equally critical is Schaeffler’s on-ground presence. The company today works with 300+ distributors and channel partners, supported by a nationwide retail reach running into tens of thousands of outlets, enabling deep penetration across all four zones of the country.

“Our emphasis is on digitization, OE-backed quality at competitive cost, and sustainability across products and packaging,” Mr. Bhatia added. “That is the long-term commitment we are making to our partners, garages, and customers.”
