Ola Electric has launched the S1Z, its most accessible scooter range, becoming the first scooter in India to feature the company’s indigenously developed Bharat Cell LFP technology. Available in 3.1 kWh and 5.1 kWh variants at introductory prices of ₹79,999 and ₹99,999 (ex-showroom) respectively, the S1Z targets the country’s largest EV buying segment.
The 3.1 kWh variant delivers a range of up to 179 km, while the 5.1 kWh variant offers up to 301 km (IDC). The LFP cells are developed at Ola’s Battery Innovation Centre and manufactured at the Ola Gigafactory, enabling the company to significantly lower battery costs — the single largest cost component of an electric vehicle — and pass on the benefit to mass-market customers.

Powered by MoveOS 5, the S1Z comes equipped with cruise control, advanced regenerative braking, reverse mode, GPS, over-the-air software updates, geo and time fencing, ride statistics, and an Easy Park feature for navigating tight spaces. Four colour options are available — White, Anthracite, Sky Splash Blue, and Matcha Green — across 12-inch wheels.
Deliveries of the 3.1 kWh variant begin in December 2026, with the 5.1 kWh variant following in March 2027. The S1Z will also be the first Ola product to be retailed through dealer-operated stores, marking a significant expansion of the company’s retail network beyond its company-owned outlets.
