Mercedes-Benz India Posts Best-Ever Quarter and Record Nine-Month Sales

Mercedes-Benz India has recorded its highest-ever quarterly sales and its best January–September performance in the country. The luxury carmaker retailed 5,422 vehicles in July–September 2026, up 6% from 5,119 a year earlier and 17% higher than the previous quarter. For January–September, sales rose about 8% to 15,190 units from 14,132.

The company credited festive demand and its “Dream Days” campaign, which offered new finance options, for the strong quarter. Growth came from all three of its segments: top-end luxury, core luxury and entry luxury.

Top-end models, including the S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach, G-Class, V-Class and AMG range, grew 13% and made up more than 25% of sales. The bespoke MANUFAKTUR personalisation programme accounted for about 75% of top-end sales, and the AMG G 63 recorded its highest-ever monthly sales. Overall, the AMG portfolio grew 18%.

The core luxury segment, made up of the C-Class, long-wheelbase E-Class, GLC and GLE, contributed about 60% of total sales. The long-wheelbase E-Class remained India’s best-selling luxury car. The entry luxury segment, comprising the GLA and CLA BEV, grew 4% and made up about 15% of sales.

Electric cars were another bright spot. Mercedes-Benz’s EV sales grew 16% despite limited availability. The new CLA BEV has drawn more than 1,000 orders, with deliveries stretching to March 2027, and the EQS Maybach SUV grew 68%.

“Our record sales in each quarter in CY 2026 is a result of our unwavering focus on high product substance, brand exclusivity and elevating customer experience,” said Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.

More launches are on the way. Deliveries of the new electrified S-Class begin in mid-October, and its top-spec MANUFAKTUR Edition is already sold out for the year. The GLC BEV, winner of the German Premium Car of the Year award, will make its India debut on 4 November 2026.
