
IndianOil has announced that Mr. Saumitra P. Srivastava has assumed charge as Director (Marketing) of the Corporation, bringing with him over three decades of distinguished service across diverse business functions.
An alumnus of IIT Roorkee with a degree in Civil Engineering, Mr. Srivastava also holds an Executive MBA from the SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai. Throughout his illustrious career, he has played a pivotal role in shaping several key business verticals at IndianOil. He began his journey in the LPG business, serving for four years, before moving into various leadership positions across the sales function.
Mr. Srivastava is widely recognised for his expertise in downstream operations, marketing, and strategic management. A collaborative and results-driven leader, he has consistently delivered business growth, enhanced profitability, and improved customer satisfaction. Among his notable achievements are leading major transformation projects such as the Non-Fuel Convenience Stores initiative and the Dhruva – Retail Transformation Project, in addition to spearheading several technology-driven and digitalisation programmes.
He has held significant leadership positions including Head of Retail Transformation, Retail Business Head for North & East India, and has successfully led divisional offices in New Delhi and Mumbai, as well as sales operations for Western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
As Head of State for Maharashtra & Goa, he oversaw the Corporation’s operations across all major products and businesses, leveraging his extensive operational and market experience. Most recently, he served as Executive Director (Corporate Strategy), where he drove initiatives aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency across the organisation.
In his new role, Mr. Srivastava will steer the strategic direction of IndianOil’s expansive marketing network, ensuring sustained market leadership and superior customer service. His vision for the Marketing Division centres on building a more agile, efficient, and technology-driven ecosystem, while championing the Corporation’s commitment to customer-centricity and the nation’s transition towards sustainable, future-ready fuels.
