Bombay Logistics Deploys Blue Energy Motors’ LNG Trucks for JSW Steel Operations in Karnataka

Bombay Logistics flagged off a fleet of Blue Energy Motors’ heavy-duty LNG trucks for commercial operations in Karnataka, to be deployed in the Toranagallu region supporting JSW Steel’s industrial freight requirements.

Built for intensive commercial use, the LNG trucks offer up to 20% better fuel efficiency, combining strong performance and long-haul capability while helping fleet operators reduce the carbon intensity of their operations.

Mr. Thimmaraj Kakarla, Managing Partner, Bombay Logistics, said the move to LNG reflects a practical solution that works on the road and makes commercial sense, citing the trucks’ performance and fuel efficiency, along with Blue Energy Motors’ support through vehicle handover, route planning, and on-ground assistance, as key to a seamless transition.

Mr. Anand Mimani, CEO, EV & New Energy, Blue Energy Motors, said the company is pleased to support Bombay Logistics in deploying LNG trucks for demanding industrial operations, with the priority being reliable performance while making the shift to cleaner freight practical.

Bombay Logistics’ leadership, including Mr. Raghavendra Ghodke, Managing Partner, and Mr. Deewakar Kakarla, General Manager, continues to drive the company’s focus on operational efficiency and alternative-fuel adoption.

With over 1,400 trucks operating across India, Blue Energy Motors has crossed 100 million green kilometres and helped reduce more than 30,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions, maintaining its position as India’s No. 1 Green Truck Brand.
