Kia India Unveils Syros EV With 526 km Range, Lifetime Battery Warranty

Kia India has unveiled the Syros EV, its second mass-market electric vehicle, and opened pre-bookings at ₹25,000 through its website and dealerships across the country. The Syros EV becomes the first vehicle in its segment to cross the 500 km range mark, with an ARAI-certified range of 526 km on the 51.4 kWh battery pack. A 42 kWh option is also available, offering 443 km of range.

Mr. Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO of Kia India, said, “With the Syros EV, we are democratising advanced electric mobility — not only through cutting-edge technology, but by removing the anxieties that hold customers back. The Syros EV delivers a best-in-segment ARAI-certified range of 526 km — the first in its segment to cross the 500 km mark. Paired with a best-in-segment power output of 171 PS, it gives customers the confidence to go further without compromising on performance. Backed by a simplified and effortless ownership experience, including a Lifetime Battery Warranty, Assured Buyback and BaaS, we are addressing what matters most to Indian families, bringing them a decisive step closer to going electric.”

The Syros EV is built on Kia’s reinforced K1 platform and delivers 171 PS of power, with a 0 to 100 kmph sprint of 8.1 seconds. DC fast charging takes the battery from 10 to 80% in 39 minutes with a 100 kW charger, and the car also features a battery conditioning system that optimises temperature for faster charging.

To address the three most common barriers to EV adoption, Kia has bundled a Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty, an Assured Buyback programme to protect resale value, and a Battery-as-a-Service financing option to reduce upfront cost.

On the charging front, Kia’s K-Charge ecosystem on the MyKia app integrates over 20,300 charging points across 23 charge point operators into a single platform, supported by 129-plus Kia dealerships with DC fast chargers and 275-plus EV-ready workshops.

Inside, the Syros EV features a first-in-segment 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display Panel integrating a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and a 5-inch climate control interface. The cabin also offers ventilated front and rear seats, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a 16-litre frunk, Harman Kardon audio, Kia Connect 2.0 with 95-plus features, and OTA software updates.

Safety is covered by Level 2 ADAS with 16 autonomous functions, a 360-degree camera, Blind View Monitor, six airbags, and 25 standard safety features. The Syros EV will be available in seven trims and nine exterior colour options.
