ChargeZone has partnered with Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. to launch a co-branded Mega Charging Hub at Khalapur Food Mall, marking a significant step in expanding high-speed EV infrastructure along key highway corridors.

The newly inaugurated facility, with a total installed capacity of 720 kW, is among the most powerful public charging hubs in the country. It is designed to support simultaneous fast charging for up to 10 electric vehicles, helping reduce wait times and improve the overall intercity travel experience for EV users.
This hub is the 75th installation under the ChargeZone–Tata.ev collaboration, which aims to deploy over 100 such Mega Charging Hubs across national highways. The initiative is part of a broader push to address infrastructure gaps beyond urban centres and enable seamless long-distance EV mobility.
Equipped with five dispensers and 10 charging points, the station offers ultra-fast charging with up to 360 kW output in Boost Mode. Located at a popular highway pitstop, the hub combines charging convenience with access to dining, retail and rest facilities, enhancing the travel experience while vehicles recharge.
Industry leaders highlighted the importance of such infrastructure in accelerating EV adoption. ChargeZone noted that high-power highway charging is critical to scaling intercity electrification, while Tata.ev emphasised that partnerships will play a key role in building a reliable and accessible charging ecosystem.
With EV adoption steadily rising in India, the Khalapur hub underscores the growing focus on strengthening highway charging networks—an essential enabler for the next phase of electric mobility growth in the country.
