Holostik Showcases Anti-Counterfeiting Solutions for Aftermarket at ACMA Automechanika New Delhi 2026

As the automotive industry continues to grapple with counterfeit components and supply-chain vulnerabilities, Holostik India Ltd., a leader in anti-counterfeiting and brand protection technologies, showcased its advanced solutions at ACMA Automechanika New Delhi 2026.

With counterfeit spare parts increasingly undermining safety, reliability and brand equity, automotive OEMs and brand owners are under growing pressure to protect genuine parts across the supply chain. Holostik’s specialised automotive solutions combine high-security physical features with digital verification, traceability and consumer engagement tools tailored to the automotive ecosystem.

Automotive OEM challenges – counterfeits, safety and trust
The automotive sector remains one of the hardest hit by counterfeiting. According to industry estimates shared by the Authentication Solution Providers’ Association (ASPA), nearly 20–25% of automotive products in the Indian market are believed to be counterfeit. These fake components – ranging from brake parts and filters to bearings and electronic assemblies – not only result in significant revenue losses for OEMs but also pose serious safety risks to end consumers.

Addressing this issue, Mr. Ankit Gupta, Joint Managing Director, Holostik Group, said: “OEMs and automotive brands are losing billions annually due to counterfeit parts, and more critically, their customers face real safety risks from substandard components. At Holostik, our mission is to give these brands robust solutions that not only authenticate genuine products but also safeguard supply chains from manufacturing through distribution. Advanced anti-counterfeiting measures are no longer optional, they are essential to protect brand trust and customer safety.”

Automotive-focused anti-counterfeiting solutions
Holostik presented a suite of solutions for the automotive aftermarket, OEMs and brands aimed at addressing a wide spectrum of counterfeiting and supply-chain risks:

* High-security hologram labels and hot stamping foils – Customised holographic OVDs with multiple overt and covert features enable instant visual authentication and strengthen brand recognition.

* Tamper-evident and destructible security labels – Labels that irreversibly reveal tampering help secure packaging and parts, discouraging reuse and repackaging of genuine goods as counterfeit.

* Smart labels with QR and serial codes – Integrated QR codes and unique serialisation support real-time authentication by dealers, service centres and end users via smartphones, while improving visibility and consumer engagement.

* Track and trace and digital authentication – Digital solutions enable end-to-end traceability from factory to aftermarket, helping brands identify diversion, unauthorised channels and counterfeit infiltration.

* Warranty and post-purchase management – Digital authentication allows manufacturers to link genuine parts with warranty and service programmes, reinforcing after-sales support and customer loyalty.

A key highlight at the event was Holostik’s award-winning Paperogram (paper hologram), a paper-based holographic security solution positioned as a sustainable yet highly secure alternative to plastic-based holograms.

Holostik also highlighted its ‘phygital’ approach – integrating physical security features with digital intelligence – to help automotive brands protect products in complex markets, reduce counterfeiting losses and strengthen customer confidence at scale.

In addition to anti-counterfeiting technologies, the Holostik Group showcased its biodegradable and sustainable packaging portfolio under NaturTrust, developed to meet the automotive industry’s increasing demand for environmentally responsible packaging solutions.
