Construction Equipment EXCON 2025

CII’s EXCON 2025 Opens to a Powerful Start, Spotlighting India’s Infrastructure Transformation

The 13th edition of EXCON 2025, South Asia’s premier Construction Equipment Exhibition hosted by CII, opened on December 9 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru, running until December 13, 2025.

Since its launch in 2000, EXCON has expanded significantly, now spanning 3.5 million sq. ft. of exhibition space with over 1,250 exhibitors, including 134 international participants from 20 countries. This year’s edition features seven country pavilions representing France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Turkey, China and the UK, reaffirming its position as one of the world’s largest construction equipment exhibitions and the second largest in Asia.

Evolving over the years from a traditional exhibition into a highly anticipated construction equipment festival, EXCON continues to command industry attention every two years. Recognised as a premier launchpad for innovative vehicles and technologies, the event showcases the dynamic modernization shaping India’s construction ecosystem.

Currently ranked as the third largest construction equipment exhibition worldwide, EXCON is on a trajectory to become the second largest by 2032, reflecting the rapid expansion of India’s infrastructure sector. The platform has played a pivotal role in accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies and state-of-the-art machinery, bolstering infrastructure development across the country.

“India is on a historic growth trajectory, aiming to become a $30 trillion economy by 2047 under the Viksit Bharat vision. Infrastructure will be the backbone of this transformation, with ₹11.21 lakh crore allocated for FY2025-26. Mega projects like Bharatmala, high-speed rail, and Smart Cities under PM Gati Shakti are driving connectivity and urban development at an unprecedented scale,” said R. Mukundan, President Designate, CII and Chairman, EXCON 2025.

“EXCON supports this vision by serving as the largest platform for technology adoption, mechanization, and sustainability in construction. It brings global innovators, policymakers, and industry leaders together to introduce advanced solutions – automation, IoT, AI-driven machinery, and green technologies – that accelerate project execution and improve competitiveness. Every edition of EXCON sets new benchmarks, ensuring India’s infrastructure ecosystem is future ready. As the nation moves toward its $30 trillion goal, EXCON will continue to empower stakeholders, foster collaboration, and drive modernization, making it the epicenter of India’s infrastructure revolution,” he added.

As the event progresses, EXCON continues to demonstrate its role as a transformative force in the construction equipment sector, fast-tracking the integration of cutting-edge technologies crucial for India’s infrastructure ambitions.

The ongoing edition is highlighting next-generation equipment and technologies that will drive modern infrastructure development, while also reinforcing Karnataka’s standing as a fast-growing manufacturing hub for construction equipment and components. The exposition is showcasing innovations shaping the future of construction and remains a critical catalyst for investment and global collaboration.

“EXCON 2025 is more than an exhibition; it is India’s premier Construction Festival. This edition is set to establish new benchmarks in scale and diversity, bringing together global technology leaders and innovation hubs under one roof. Attendees will experience live demonstrations, cutting-edge solutions, and sustainability-focused pavilions that are shaping the future of construction. As a must-attend event for all industry stakeholders, EXCON offers unparalleled opportunities for networking and collaboration. Spread across 3,500,000 sq. meters, the event features over 1,250 exhibitors, including international participants from 20 countries and 7 dedicated international pavilions, and is unveiling more than 300 product launches,” said Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, CII.

“India stands at the threshold of an infrastructure revolution that will define its economic future. With record investments in roads, railways, ports, and urban development, the nation is building the foundation for sustainable growth and global competitiveness. The construction equipment industry is committed to making India the second largest and fastest-growing CE market globally, tripling its size to US$25 billion and emerging as a global manufacturing and export hub, an embodiment of Atmanirbhar Bharat with exports to over 135 countries. This ambition aligns with the country’s infrastructure goals and the need for advanced technologies to meet the demands of mega projects and smart cities. EXCON 2025 reflects this momentum. It is not just an event; it is a celebration of progress and a showcase of possibilities,” said Deepak Shetty, Co-Chairman, EXCON 2025.

As EXCON 2025 continues through the week, it is serving as a pivotal platform for the construction sector, convening industry leaders, policymakers, innovators, and global participants to showcase advancements, explore business opportunities, and propel India’s infrastructure growth agenda. CII invites stakeholders across the construction landscape to engage with this influential event, designed to foster collaboration and accelerate the country’s infrastructure trajectory.
