At Automechanika Frankfurt 2026, Brembo showcased a range of aftermarket innovations focused on regulatory compliance, product performance and improved serviceability. The highlights included its Euro 7-ready braking solutions, remanufactured and new calipers, and fully accessorised brake pads. The company also outlined its plans to build a stronger aftermarket presence in India, with a dedicated team, local warehousing and a broader offering for passenger cars and two-wheelers.

“Automechanika is a very important show for us. It is probably the only truly global show, which makes it an important opportunity to introduce our innovations. One of the most significant developments is Euro 7, and we have solutions ready across all our product families,” said Roberto Caravati, Aftermarket GBU Chief Officer at Brembo
Product Innovation and Regulatory Readiness
Brembo’s exhibition featured its Euro 7-ready product portfolio across its key product families – PRIME, BEYOND, XTRA, and UPGRADE, designed to address tightening non-exhaust emission requirements alongside new and remanufactured calipers.
The display highlighted specialized fluid innovations, including Beyond Greenance DOT 4 (1L) for eco-conscious compliance and high-performance XTRA DOT 5.1 LV for modern low-viscosity requirements. Furthermore, the company has incorporated additional corrosion-resistance testing into its caliper portfolio, with 180 hours of salt spray testing for new calipers and 240 hours for remanufactured calipers.

The company also highlighted its fully accessorised brake pads, which are copper-free and supplied with the necessary installation accessories, including screws and springs, to support correct fitting and improve workshop convenience.
Premium Positioning Through Safety and Performance
Addressing the growing polarisation between private-label products and premium brands, Roberto emphasised that Brembo’s positioning is rooted in braking performance, safety and continued product development. Rather than competing directly with low-cost alternatives, the company aims to communicate the value of premium braking technology to customers, distributors and workshops.

“A good combination of brake discs and pads can make a difference of even half a metre in stopping distance. That difference can be critical in an accident. For us, it is about safety, and we will continue to invest in our brand and innovation. We are the answer for customers looking for a premium product backed by quality, performance and a brand that stands behind it,” he stated.
He also highlighted the role of Bybre, an established brand in India that has so far been available through the original equipment service (OES) channel. Making the brand more widely available in the independent aftermarket is expected to support Brembo’s strategy of reaching a broader customer base.
India Emerges as a Strategic Growth Market
India is set to become a key focus area for Brembo as the company looks to strengthen its aftermarket operations and tap into opportunities across passenger cars and two-wheelers. Roberto said the company plans to establish a dedicated regional organisation, moving away from an arrangement in which its India representative also covered the Middle East and Africa.

Brembo expects to have a team of nearly 10 people in place by the end of 2026, with plans to expand its operations further. A local warehouse is also planned, potentially by the end of 2026 or during the first quarter of 2027, to improve product availability and customer service.
“India is not just a country; it is a continent. To serve this market effectively, particularly across passenger cars and two-wheelers, we need the right organisation, a strong logistics network and a local warehouse. We are going to get very serious about India, starting with a team that understands the market and can translate its requirements into the right product and service offering,” he explained.According to Roberto, Brembo’s approach will begin with product marketing and a better understanding of local requirements, followed by investments in logistics, customer service and distribution. The company also plans to work with large aftermarket groups while building relationships with medium-sized distributors to ensure wider market coverage.
Expanding the Two-Wheeler Aftermarket Portfolio
Two-wheelers represent a significant opportunity for Brembo in India, particularly in the replacement and upgrade segments. While the Brembo brand will continue to cater to customers seeking premium braking performance, Bybre is expected to play a wider role in addressing the needs of smaller-capacity motorcycles and scooters.
“In a market like India, Brembo represents an upgrade for customers looking for high braking performance. However, when we move towards scooters and smaller-capacity engines, we need an affordable line where quality remains assured. Bybre, as a brand under the Brembo umbrella, can help us address these requirements with products suited to the needs of these customers.”
Building a robust distribution network will be central to this strategy. Brembo intends to combine partnerships with large aftermarket players with a wider network of regional and medium-sized distributors, supported by improved product availability and technical awareness.
