ISOL-2025 Ignites India’s Innovation Agenda in Automotive Lighting

The International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) inaugurated the 8th edition of the International Symposium on Lighting (ISOL-2025) on 17 November 2025 at ICAT Centre-2, Manesar; the two-day event ran on 17-18 November 2025 and concluded yesterday.

With the participation of over 700 professionals, ISOL-2025 was formally inaugurated on 17 November 2025 at ICAT Centre-2, Manesar, in the presence of senior government officials, automotive OEM leaders, lamp manufacturers, technology suppliers, academic researchers, and eminent stakeholders from across the sector.

ISOL-2025 featured 34 technical papers across six technical sessions, covering intelligent automotive lighting, lighting in ADAS, the role of lighting in road safety with a special focus on glare issues, energy-efficient lighting, lighting design and styling, lighting for EVs, EMC challenges in lighting, and future trends and regulations in automotive lighting. The event also hosted two panel discussions – “Innovations for Safer Night Driving”, with a focus on glare management, and “Smart, Adaptive, and Safe: The Future of Automotive Lighting.”

In recognition of outstanding contributions to the sector, the ISOL Awards for Innovation & Excellence were presented to distinguished industry participants. A dedicated technical exhibition formed an integral part of the symposium, with OEMs, component manufacturers, system suppliers, and service providers showcasing new products, solutions, and technologies aimed at promoting self-reliance, encouraging design innovation, and supporting the growth of India’s automotive lighting industry.

With participation exceeding 1,500 delegates over two days, ISOL-2025 delivered a robust platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and networking across the automotive lighting ecosystem.
