Blue Energy Motors powers Inland Logistics’ shift to green trucking

Blue Energy Motors, a pioneer in zero-emission heavy-duty transportation, has marked a significant milestone in India’s freight decarbonisation journey with the delivery of its LNG-powered trucks to Inland World Logistics. This deployment represents Inland’s first foray into sustainable long-haul logistics and underlines both companies’ shared commitment to green mobility.

The fleet handover took place at Blue Energy Motors’ state-of-the-art facility in Chakan, Pune, and signals the next phase of growth for LNG adoption in the country’s commercial vehicle landscape. The trucks are engineered to deliver 30% lower CO₂ emissions while maintaining full payload capacity and performance – making them a compelling alternative to diesel-powered counterparts.

With over 800+ LNG trucks already operating across Indian highways, Blue Energy Motors’ vehicles have collectively covered more than 50 million kilometres, helping to avoid an estimated 14,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions – equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of over 560,000 trees.

Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO of Blue Energy Motors, noted that the company remains focused on enabling cleaner mobility at scale, one fleet and region at a time. He highlighted that the partnership with Inland World Logistics reflects the growing alignment between technology innovators and forward-looking logistics players, adding that the company’s LNG trucks provide a powerful, cost-effective alternative to diesel with significantly reduced environmental impact.

Inland World Logistics, part of the Inland Group and a prominent name in the integrated logistics sector, sees this move as a critical step in aligning operations with evolving Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards. Managing Director Praveen Somani stated that the decision to transition to LNG was driven by both environmental responsibility and operational efficiency. He acknowledged Blue Energy Motors not only for its product innovation but also for making sustainable trucking viable and scalable.

The collaboration between the two companies reinforces the growing momentum behind alternate fuel technologies and highlights how cross-sector partnerships can drive meaningful change in India’s transport and logistics ecosystem.
