ZF Showcases Advanced Mining Solutions at IME 2025

ZF Group, the global technology leader with more than 110 years of engineering excellence, showcased its latest portfolio of industrial and service solutions for the mining sector at the 10th International Mining, Equipment, Minerals & Metals Exhibition (IME) 2025 held in Kolkata from October 30 to November 2.

At IME 2025, ZF highlighted its strong global reputation in mining and construction machinery by digitally presenting solutions designed to improve productivity, reliability, and sustainability. With a full range of drive systems, excavator gearboxes, and pump distribution units, ZF demonstrated how its technologies are engineered to handle extreme loads while maintaining compact design and high power transmission.

A key attraction was ZF’s tunnel boring gearboxes, offering custom adaptations for projects requiring multiple transmission systems. Their relevance is growing in India as national highway development accelerates—expanding 60% in the past decade and now progressing at 34 km per day. ZF also featured its Redulus4F series gearboxes, tailored for stationary mining applications, reinforcing the company’s leadership in transmission systems for heavy-duty excavators and construction machinery.

Alongside its product portfolio, ZF emphasised service excellence. Its ProVID smart condition monitoring system enables real-time powertrain diagnostics, early detection of anomalies, and extended machine life—raising uptime and operational efficiency for mining customers.

Mr. Akash Passey, President, ZF Group India, “With a rich global legacy, ZF has been a trusted partner across industries. At IME 2025, we showcased solutions perfectly suited to Indian mining needs—focused on safety, productivity, and sustainability. Beyond products, we work closely with customers to deliver lifecycle value with superior technology and service support.”
