V-GREEN and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have announced a strategic collaboration to jointly set up electric vehicle charging stations at HPCL fuel stations across key markets in India. The partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility by significantly expanding charging infrastructure and improving the overall charging experience for EV users nationwide.

Under the agreement, V-GREEN will leverage HPCL’s extensive retail fuel station network to roll out EV charging solutions, supporting India’s transition towards cleaner transportation. HPCL, one of the country’s largest state-owned energy companies, operates more than 24,400 retail outlets across India and already runs over 5,300 EV charging stations under its HP e-Charge brand, providing a strong foundation for rapid expansion.
The collaboration comes at a crucial time as India steps up efforts to promote green mobility. By combining HPCL’s nationwide reach with V-GREEN’s expertise in large-scale charging infrastructure development, the partnership is expected to enable faster deployment of EV charging stations and seamless access for customers across urban and highway locations.
V-GREEN Global Charging Station Development Company, headquartered in Vietnam, was founded by VinFast founder Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong with a clear focus on building charging ecosystems to support VinFast’s global growth. In Vietnam, V-GREEN has already established a strong presence by operating around 150,000 charging ports nationwide, working closely with multiple partners to scale its network. India is a key market in V-GREEN’s international expansion plans.
The tie-up with HPCL marks another important step in the broader efforts of V-GREEN, VinFast and their partners to create a complete EV ecosystem in India. This includes vehicle manufacturing, charging infrastructure, after-sales services and battery recycling. Together, these initiatives are aimed at enabling large-scale EV adoption and supporting sustainable mobility in one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive markets.
By bringing together infrastructure strength, technology expertise and shared sustainability goals, the V-GREEN–HPCL partnership is expected to play a meaningful role in shaping India’s EV charging landscape and supporting the country’s long-term clean transportation ambitions.
