TVS Motor Company has announced the establishment of its Global Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Design and Engineering in Bologna, Italy. As part of this initiative, the company has acquired 100% ownership of Engines Engineering S.p.A., a renowned Italian automotive design and engineering firm known for its expertise in advanced prototyping, performance motorcycles, and MotoGP racing technologies. The acquisition strengthens TVS Motor’s design and engineering ecosystem, accelerating the development of next-generation mobility platforms.
The new CoE will function as a concept-to-product innovation hub, combining engines engineering’s creative and racing heritage with TVS Motor’s global R&D strengths. By fostering cross-border collaboration and attracting global talent, the centre aims to enhance speed-to-market, product differentiation, and technological leadership.
Importantly, the CoE will also benefit Norton Motorcycles, TVS’s iconic British marque, by infusing modern luxury design and engineering capabilities into its high-performance motorcycle portfolio.

Key focus areas of the Bologna CoE include:

Through this initiative, TVS Motor aims to shorten development cycles, broaden its premium portfolio, and expand into high-displacement motorcycles, advanced scooters, and electric mobility platforms.
