Reporting from Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, we bring you an exclusive account of how the 9th edition of the Truck Trailer & Tyre Expo became a powerful platform for technology, safety, and sustainability in India’s commercial vehicle ecosystem.

At the 9th edition of the Truck Trailer & Tyre Expo held at the Mahatma Mandir Exhibition & Convention Centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, the commercial-vehicle and trailer ecosystem came together in full force. The three-day event from 16th- 18th September, showcased not only full vehicles (trailers, tippers, tankers) but also a wide array of components, systems and services; from axles and suspensions to telematics, braking systems, lighting and lightweight body structures. The show’s layout allowed OEMs, body builders, fleet operators and component vendors to engage directly, and the overall feel was one of cautious optimism: despite headwinds in some segments, many players are positioning themselves for the next cycle.
The geographic choice of Gujarat underscored the logic: western and central India continue to drive demand for heavy-haul, mining and construction applications, and the expo reflected that by focusing heavily on high-payload equipment, innovative materials and service solutions tailored for India’s rugged operating environment.
Key themes of the show included lightweight & high-strength design, digitalisation and safety, and after-market support & localisation of supply chains.
Five Lasercut

Five Lasercut impressed visitors with two flagship offerings – India’s lightest side-wall trailer and a robust rock-body mining tipper. According to Co-founder Arpit Dixit, “Our latest products enable an additional 2.5 metric tons of payload while offering unmatched strength and reliability.” In the last year the company has sold over 600 vehicles across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh, serving mining, construction, steel, FMCG and automotive-logistics sectors. Despite challenging times for the industry, these innovations have enabled the company to win institutional and bulk buyers.

Operating from an advanced facility in Indore, Five Lasercut uses high-strength precision steel and patented designs validated through FE analysis to ensure durability. With over 250 NATRAX-approved variants covering mining tippers, side-wall trailers, flatbeds, cement bulkers and more, the company is now preparing to enter the special-purpose vehicle space (including municipal waste carriers). Customer service also remains a cornerstone: “We will be the first trailer manufacturer in India to deploy mobile service vans, allowing customers to get on-site service just like automotive OEMs,” Arpit shared. With its order-book filled for the next 2-3 months, Five Lasercut is doubling down on continuous product innovation to drive future growth.
HYVA India

HYVA India reinforced its leadership position in tipping systems by showcasing its flagship 169 and 191 cylinders for high-capacity tippers and trailers, along with a newly launched 214 cylinder designed for higher-tonnage applications. “HYVA brought tipping technology to India and continues to lead the market, serving almost every OEM and retail customer,” said Sanjeev Chawla, Sales Director. Beyond hardware, HYVA is focusing heavily on operator safety and digitalisation: “We are introducing tilt-switches to prevent toppling and save both man and machine.
