Toyota Kirloskar Motor Showcases Flex-Fuel Hybrid Tech, Skilling Focus at Advantage Maharashtra Expo 2026

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) marked its presence at the Advantage Maharashtra Expo 2026, underlining its long-term commitment to sustainable mobility, responsible manufacturing and youth empowerment through skilling initiatives in Maharashtra. Toyota’s participation at the Expo highlighted the role of Flex-fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicle (SHEV) technology as part of India’s evolving energy transition and carbon neutrality goals.

Held once every three years, the Advantage Maharashtra Expo 2026 is among the largest industrial exhibitions in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and the wider Marathwada region. The event is organised by MASSIA (Marathwada Association of Small-Scale Industries and Agriculture) in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra, and serves as a platform to bring together industry, government and educational institutions.

At the Technology Pavilion, TKM showcased a curated display of its advanced vehicle technologies, including the HyCross Flexi-Fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicle (FFV SHEV). The exhibit reflected Toyota’s multi-pathway approach to achieving carbon neutrality, balancing cleaner mobility solutions with practical energy choices suited to Indian conditions.

Beyond technology display, Toyota also engaged with stakeholders through a dedicated session on Toyota Culture for representatives from industry and educational institutions. The session focused on the company’s core principles of quality-led manufacturing, continuous improvement, skill development and customer-centric leadership, aimed at building long-term partnerships and strengthening the regional industrial ecosystem.

Commenting on Toyota’s participation, Mr. Sudeep Dalvi, Chief Communication Officer, Senior Vice President and Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, thanked the Government of Maharashtra for its continued support towards the company’s upcoming greenfield manufacturing project in the state. He said the new facility would further expand Toyota’s operational footprint in Maharashtra with a strong emphasis on localisation, while creating opportunities for local development. Dalvi added that participation in the Expo reflects Toyota’s collaborative approach to fostering sustainable growth, innovation and community empowerment, alongside its focus on skilling, CSR-led education initiatives and cleaner powertrain technologies.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Maharashtra to strengthen their partnership in developing a structured and scalable skilling ecosystem across the state, with a particular focus on upgrading Industrial Training Institutes. In parallel, as part of its CSR initiatives in education, TKM has upgraded infrastructure and learning facilities in 11 government schools in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, contributing to improved educational outcomes for local communities.
