Toyota Kirloskar Motor Partners with Anime India 2026 to Connect with Gen Z Audiences

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced a partnership with Animation Express for the Anime India 2026 series, a multi-city anime convention that draws some of India’s most passionate Gen Z and young millennial audiences. The collaboration marks Toyota’s foray into the anime and Japanese pop culture space as part of its broader effort to build brand affinity among younger customers across the country.

The first event under the partnership — the Anime India Delhi edition — is scheduled for June 6–7, 2026, at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. The event will feature a J-pop concert by Yurika and the India debut of Inoue Kazuhiko, the renowned Japanese voice actor best known as the voice of Kakashi from the globally popular anime series Naruto. As part of its presence at the event, Toyota will showcase three vehicles — the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Toyota Glanza, and Urban Cruiser Taisor — across dedicated stalls at the venue. All three display vehicles will carry special wraps inspired by Attack on Titan, while the flagship Toyota booth will host interactive activities including a spin-the-wheel, stamp rally, and quiz competition.

“Anime India offers a unique platform to connect with a highly passionate community that strongly identifies with creativity, self-expression and contemporary pop culture. Through this partnership, we aim to further position Toyota as an exciting brand that resonates with younger customers by creating engaging and culturally relevant experiences,” Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor

Anime India is recognised as one of India’s leading ticketed anime conventions, having drawn over 60,000 Gen Z attendees across its last two editions. The platform celebrates licensed anime, manga, gaming, and Japanese popular culture, bringing together fans, cosplayers, creators, and international industry participants. The Toyota partnership will span multiple cities as the Anime India 2026 series travels nationwide.
