Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has strengthened its footprint in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands with the launch of its customer-focused initiatives TDRIVE and TDELIVER at Prince Toyota, Sri Vijaya Puram. This marks the first time both programmes have been introduced in the island territory, underlining Toyota’s commitment to safety, customer experience, and responsible mobility across diverse regions of India.
The inauguration was attended by senior Toyota Kirloskar Motor leadership, including Mr. Tadashi Asazuma, Deputy Managing Director, and Mr. Arun Nair, Vice President – Strategic Business Unit (East Region), along with representatives from Prince Toyota.
With the launch of TDRIVE, Toyota has established its first motor vehicle training facility in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Designed to promote safer driving habits and road discipline, the initiative aligns with Toyota’s vision of building a “Safe Society.” The programme combines classroom sessions, simulator-based learning, and supervised on-road training to help drivers transition smoothly from theory to real-world conditions. Toyota continues to expand its network of driving schools nationwide as part of its long-term goal of reducing road accidents and fatalities.
Alongside this, Toyota introduced TDELIVER, its industry-first vehicle delivery initiative that ensures cars are transported from stockyards to dealerships using flatbed carriers, eliminating pre-delivery road usage. Rolled out nationally in February 2024, TDELIVER ensures better vehicle quality, safer handling, and greater customer confidence—at no additional cost. With the Andaman & Nicobar rollout, the region has become Toyota’s 1,000th TDELIVER location, completing 100 percent coverage across Toyota dealerships in India. The milestone also coincides with Toyota achieving one lakh TDELIVER services since the initiative’s inception.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Asazuma said the launch reflects Toyota’s unwavering focus on responsible mobility. He noted that introducing TDRIVE and TDELIVER in the islands strengthens customer trust while extending high standards of safety and service to the region.
Mr. Sagar Khurana, Dealer Principal, Prince Toyota, added that the initiatives go beyond sales and service, helping shape safer driving behaviour and building long-term trust within the local community.
With this dual rollout, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has further reinforced its commitment to inclusive, safety-led mobility solutions, ensuring customers in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands benefit from the same standards of training, delivery, and care available across mainland India.
