Tesla India today announced the opening of its first Tesla Experience Center in Chennai, located at Express Avenue Mall, to deliver retail and after-sales services directly to customers. With this launch, customers in Chennai and across Tamil Nadu can now experience, order, and take delivery of Tesla vehicles locally.
To offer a complete ownership experience, Tesla India has also set up a Approved Collision Center and service facility in Poonamallee. This gives Chennai and Tamil Nadu owners access to genuine Tesla parts, professionally trained technicians, software-aware diagnostics, and collision repair performed to Tesla standards, reducing downtime and offering greater peace of mind with countrywide service and warranty coverage.
Together, the Experience Center on Pattullos Road and the Collision Center in Poonamallee are designed to provide local consultation, test drives, and vehicle delivery support; professional collision repair and body work to Tesla standards; genuine parts and approved repair processes; and support to help maintain vehicle safety, performance, and resale value.
The 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive, available at the new center, offers 2,138 litres of storage space with seating for up to five passengers, ample luggage capacity, and power-folding seats. Powered by ultra-responsive motors, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and delivers a range of up to 500 km (WLTP). It is priced in India at ₹50,89,000, with a down payment of ₹6,00,000 and monthly EMI starting from ₹39,990.
Customers can also experience the Model Y L, an all-wheel-drive SUV designed as a family vehicle with a three-row, six-seat configuration maximising headroom, legroom, and comfort. It offers a range of up to 681 km (WLTP), 0-100 km/h acceleration in 5.0 seconds, and cargo space of up to 2,539 litres. The Model Y L is priced from ₹61,99,000, with a down payment of ₹6,50,000 and monthly EMI starting from ₹49,990.
Both vehicles benefit from Tesla’s continuously improving capabilities through Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, including access to Grok, Tesla’s intelligent AI assistant, available in multiple Indian languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu, and Kannada.
