RIDEV, an electric mobility platform for delivery and gig workers, has opened its 16th hub in Chennai as its fleet crosses 12,000 electric two-wheelers on the road. Mr. Hemant Kabra, Founder and Managing Director of BGauss, attended the launch as chief guest.

Founded in April 2024 with just 10 electric two-wheelers, RIDEV provides rental services along with battery swapping, maintenance, roadside assistance, insurance and standby EV support at no additional cost. Its model aims to help delivery partners access vehicles without the upfront cost of ownership and reduce downtime.

Mr. Manish Kumar Jain, Founder and CEO of RIDEV, said the company’s focus goes beyond providing vehicles to helping riders keep earning by reducing challenges related to maintenance, repairs and vehicle availability.

The company said it will continue expanding its fleet and hub network across key markets while strengthening its technology and operational support for India’s delivery and gig workforce.
