JSW MG Motor India’s Windsor has crossed the 75,000-unit sales milestone in less than two years since its launch, cementing its position as India’s best-selling electric vehicle. With over 19,000 units already sold in 2026 alone and a steadily growing order book, the Windsor has become a defining product in India’s EV story — reaching buyers not just in metros but increasingly in non-metro and emerging markets as well.

The Windsor’s success is built around what JSW MG Motor India calls its ABC proposition — priced at the level of an A-segment car, sized on the outside like a B-segment vehicle, and offering the interior space of a C-segment car. That combination of affordability, compact footprint, and generous cabin room has struck a chord with Indian families looking for an electric vehicle that doesn’t ask them to compromise. The car is positioned as India’s first Intelligent CUV, blending the spaciousness of a sedan with the versatility of an SUV.
On the technical side, the Windsor delivers 100 kW of power and 200 Nm of torque, and is offered in two battery configurations — a 38 kWh pack with a range of 332 km, and a 52.9 kWh PRO variant with a range of 449 km. It is available under a Battery-as-a-Service model starting at ₹9.99 lakh plus ₹3.9 per km, lowering the barrier to EV ownership by separating the battery cost from the vehicle price.

Inside, the Windsor features business-class Aero Lounge seats that recline to 135 degrees, and a 15.6-inch Grandview touch display on the centre console. Its AeroGlide exterior design language is intended to move beyond conventional segment definitions, giving the car a distinct visual identity in an increasingly crowded market.
Mr. Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director of JSW MG Motor India, said the Windsor has been a winning proposition that resonates strongly with Indian car buyers, and that its reach across both metros and emerging markets reflects India’s growing readiness to embrace sustainable mobility. He credited the milestone to the grit and determination of his teams in delivering something truly exceptional.
JSW MG Motor India also reported 13% year-on-year growth in overall sales in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, with the Windsor’s sustained momentum playing a central role in that performance.
