Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) today announced the commencement of bookings for its upcoming Intelligent Utility Vehicle, the Hyundai BAYON, a tech-enabled SUV designed for customers seeking innovation, style, advanced safety, and future-ready mobility. The BAYON features an in-built generative AI voice assistant, enabling more natural and intuitive interactions between driver and vehicle.
The Hyundai BAYON is built around five key pillars: Intelligence On, featuring the in-built generative AI voice assistant for a connected mobility experience; Safety On, built on the Global K Enhanced Platform engineered for 5-star Indian safety standards; Comfort On, with curated convenience features; Performance On, designed for confident everyday driving; and Style On, offering progressive SUV design inspired by global trends.

On design, the BAYON features a sculpted bonnet, futuristic front fascia, and signature H-Edge LED DRLs, complemented by geometric wheel arches, wrap-around door cladding, and bridge-type roof rails, creating a confident, dynamic road presence. Measuring 4.2 metres in length, the mid-size SUV offers a balance of strong exterior proportions and spacious interiors, with intelligent space utilisation providing ample legroom, headroom, and shoulder room for all occupants.
Built on the philosophy of “Intelligence That Moves,” the BAYON combines advanced technology, connected convenience, and safety for a seamless, future-ready mobility experience. On safety, it is built on the Global K Enhanced Platform, engineered for 5-star Indian safety standards, with a strong focus on occupant protection and structural rigidity. The SUV is powered by a proven petrol powertrain, available with a choice of Manual Transmission or Hyundai’s Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), catering to both city and highway driving needs.
Customers can book the Hyundai BAYON online through Hyundai’s official website or at any authorised Hyundai dealership with a booking amount of ₹11,000. The SUV is set to launch this festive season, with delivery timelines to be announced at the time of launch.
