Hyundai Motor India, Employee Union Ink Landmark 3-Year Wage Pact

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) and the United Union of Hyundai Employees (UUHE) have signed a new long-term wage settlement agreement for the period 2024–2027, marking a major milestone in employee relations at the company.

Effective from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2027, the agreement offers an industry-leading salary hike of ₹31,000 per month, spread across three years in the ratio of 55%, 25%, and 20%. HMIL said the revised all-inclusive compensation sets a new benchmark in the automotive sector.

Alongside the salary hike, the company will continue to provide best-in-class health coverage and wellness programmes, reinforcing its focus on employee welfare.

“At Hyundai, our people are the cornerstone of our success. This agreement, built on mutual trust and constructive dialogue, reflects our shared commitment to fostering a progressive workplace culture that prioritizes employee welfare and supports long-term growth,” said Mr. Youngmyung Park, Function Head – People Strategy, HMIL.

Formed in 2011, UUHE is the officially recognised representative body for HMIL’s workforce. As of August 31, 2025, it represents 1,981 employees — nearly 90% of the technician and workmen cadre.
