Greaves rolls out lighter Magnus Neo to boost everyday EV ride comfort

Greaves Electric Mobility has expanded its electric two-wheeler portfolio with the launch of the new Magnus Neo under its Ampere lineup, focusing on improved ride comfort, ease of handling and everyday usability.

Available in four colour options—Mystic Mauve, Butter Yellow, Ocean Blue and Matcha Green—the Magnus Neo also brings a fresh design appeal for urban riders.

Priced from ₹86,999, the new variant aims to make electric mobility more practical and accessible, reinforcing Greaves Electric Mobility’s focus on delivering dependable and user-friendly EV solutions for the Indian market.

The latest variant builds on the existing Magnus Neo platform but introduces key refinements aimed at making urban commuting smoother and more accessible. Designed with rider ergonomics at its core, the scooter features a lighter construction, lower seat height of 777 mm and a reduced kerb weight of 103 kg, enabling better control, especially in stop-and-go city traffic.

The scooter also gets a new wheel and motor configuration to deliver smoother acceleration and enhanced balance, while a 10-inch rear tyre improves stability and handling across varied road conditions. The overall package is aimed at offering a more confident and comfortable riding experience for daily users.

Mr. Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility, said the new Magnus Neo has been developed to address real-world riding needs, with a focus on comfort and ease of rideability for both short commutes and longer daily usage.

The model continues to leverage the strengths of the Magnus Neo platform, which is known for its durability and performance, including a national record for the longest journey by a city-speed family electric scooter, covering over 2,300 km from Bengaluru to Delhi. It is built on a dual-frame chassis with tuned braking systems to ensure stability and reliability.

Powering the scooter is an advanced LFP battery, designed for longer life and improved safety. The battery is engineered to last up to 10 years and has been tested across extreme temperature conditions ranging from -40°C to 60°C, making it suitable for diverse Indian climates.
