Citroën India has taken a bold step in its ‘Citroën 2.0 – Shift Into the New’ strategy with the debut of the Basalt X Range, featuring all-new interiors and CARA — India’s first intelligent, multilingual, and context-aware in-car companion.
CARA: The Human Side of Mobility
CARA redefines in-car intelligence by going beyond simple voice commands. It responds naturally to context and tone — suggesting a rest stop when a driver says, “I’m tired,” while seamlessly integrating with the vehicle to monitor tyre pressure, fuel levels, and control functions like AC pre-conditioning and door locks. It keeps users connected by managing music, calls, reminders, and navigation, while also delivering real-time updates on flights, stocks, sports, and weather. With voice-triggered SOS, crash response, and support for 52 Indian and global languages, CARA prioritises both safety and inclusivity.
Basalt X Range: Exclusivity Meets Everyday Comfort
The Basalt X Range introduces premium soft-touch leatherette interiors, gold accents, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, and a bezel-less 26 cm infotainment system with a 17.7 cm digital cluster. It comes equipped with class-leading features such as Proxi-Sense™️ PEPS, cruise control, Halo-Cam 360-degree camera, full LED front setup, and Citroën Advanced Comfort Suspension. Rear passengers benefit from segment-best comfort, thanks to smart tilt cushions, winged headrests, and a warm brown Marse interior theme. Safety is enhanced with ESP, hill hold, TPMS, perimeter alarm, ABS with EBD, and six airbags as standard.
The Citroën Basalt: SUV Stance with Coupé Style
Fusing SUV confidence with coupé elegance, the Basalt has already made a mark with its high ground clearance, sharp styling, and robust build. Inside, Citroën’s hallmark of comfort shines through with tropicalized auto AC, rear vents, spacious seating, and its renowned “flying carpet” ride. Technology includes wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, My Citroën Connect 2.0 with 40+ features, wireless charging, and a modern driver display. Power comes from the PureTech 1.2L Gen 3 Turbo and PureTech 82 NA engines with 5MT, 6MT, and 6AT options.
