BYD India, a subsidiary of BYD, today announced the launch of the BYD SEALION 7 Dynamic, a new addition to its flagship eSUV lineup. Powered by a 71.8 kWh Blade Battery, it offers a range of 520 km (NEDC) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. Priced at an introductory ₹41.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the variant offers customers a new entry point into BYD’s premium electric SUV family.
The Dynamic variant reflects a balance of spirited performance, intelligent technology, and everyday usability, further improving choice and value for customers while retaining the brand’s signature premium EV character. It is available in four colours, Atlantis Grey, Cosmos Black, Aurora White, and Shark Grey.
With this addition, the SEALION 7 portfolio now comprises Dynamic, Premium, and Performance variants, offering customers more options across sustainable motoring, performance, and technology.
Mr. Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business, BYD India, said the expansion responds directly to the strong customer interest seen in existing SEALION 7 variants, adding that the Dynamic variant will further strengthen the model’s position in India’s premium EV segment by bringing BYD’s advanced technologies, safety standards, and sustainable mobility solutions within reach of more customers.
The SEALION 7 lineup now offers a choice between 71.8 kWh and 82.56 kWh Blade Battery options. Built on BYD’s e-platform 3.0 and featuring a design inspired by the brand’s Ocean Aesthetics, the SEALION 7 Dynamic includes hallmark BYD innovations such as the Blade Battery, Cell-to-Body technology, Intelligence Torque Adaptation Control, a panoramic glass roof, a rotating touchscreen infotainment system, and a wide range of safety and driver assistance technologies.
The launch also aligns with BYD India’s ongoing ‘Celebrate Your Dreams with BYD’ festive offers, rolled out on August 1, 2026, under which SEALION 7 Dynamic customers can avail a complimentary 7kW home charger with installation, a 10-year RSA coverage extension, and an extended warranty of 10 years or 1.5 lakh km (whichever comes first) on the LFP LV battery.
Since its introduction in 2025, the BYD SEALION 7 has seen strong demand, with more than 4,000 units currently on Indian roads, establishing itself as a leading product in the premium EV category. The model has earned several accolades, including a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP, Luxury Mid-size SUV of the Year at the ACKO Drive TOTM 2026, Premium EV of the Year at the car&bike Awards 2026, Premium SUV of the Year at the TV9 Awards, and Best EV Design at the CarBike360 Auto Excellence Awards 2026. BYD’s Blade Battery was also recognised as the Best New EV Battery Technology at the same awards, while BYD was honoured as the Pioneer in Battery Technology by Jagran Hi-Tech. The company also ranked No. 91 on the 2026 Fortune Global 500 list, marking its fifth consecutive year on the index.
