ACMA Automechanika 2026 Kicks Off with Unprecedented Global Turnout

The 6th edition of ACMA Automechanika New Delhi 2026 opened yesterday at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi. The three-day event began with significant industry enthusiasm, hosting over 870 exhibitors with major international participation, alongside technology showcases and knowledge-led engagements across a 51,000 sq. m. exhibition space.

As the region’s most influential aftermarket exhibition, it attracts wholesalers, distributors, component traders, workshop professionals, fleet operators, OEM delegates and technology providers. The show serves as a key marketplace for sourcing high-quality components, exploring new technologies and enabling business partnerships in a rapidly growing Indian aftermarket.

The 2026 edition highlights advances in electrification, alternative fuels, sustainable mobility and next-generation vehicle technologies, reflecting India’s expanding role in global automotive sourcing. Significant overseas participation and international pavilions bring global best practices to India while positioning the country as a reliable, competitive manufacturing destination.

The inauguration was attended by key industry and government leaders including Mr. Jitin Prasada, Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & IT; Mr. Vikrampati Singhania, President of ACMA; Mr. Sriram Viji, President-Designate, ACMA; Mr. Wolfgang Marzin, President & CEO, Messe Frankfurt GmbH; Mr Michael Johannes, Vice President – Mobility & Logistics, Messe Frankfurt GmbH; Mr. Raj Manek, Executive Director, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd; and Mr. Vinnie Mehta, Director General, ACMA.

The Minister highlighted India’s growing global economic relevance, emphasising the strategic value of the US and UK FTAs and the strengthening of India’s position in global automotive supply chains—particularly in EV electronics, aided by the Electronic Components Manufacturing Scheme.

Mr. Singhania noted that the show has become India’s largest and most dedicated aftermarket exhibition, mirroring the industry’s resilience and global competitiveness.

Mr. Manek stated that the 2026 edition reflects strong participation from India and abroad, with innovations that enhance India’s global supply chain competitiveness.

Mr. Mehta emphasised the show’s focus on clean fuel technologies, sustainable components, packaging improvements and quality systems that help India serve global markets.

Over the next two days, the expo will host curated knowledge sessions covering a wide spectrum of emerging priorities for the sector, including advanced technologies shaping Aftermarket 2.0, regulatory compliance with a strong focus on anti-counterfeiting and consumer rights, evolving technology trends in distribution and vehicle servicing, best practices for repair and workshop operations, and a leadership dialogue dedicated to the advancement of automotive semiconductor power components.
