Following the success of its Automotive Aftermarket Expo in Indore during July this year, ACMA hosted another Automotive Aftermarket Expo, this time in South India, at Coimbatore on 2nd & 3rd September. The show witnessed very good participation from a number of industry-leading component suppliers and was well attended by visitors from the aftermarket ecosystem over the two days.
Kranthi Kumar Pati, District Collector, Coimbatore, inaugurated the expo as the Chief Guest, in the presence of G. Thirumurugan, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Coimbatore, Sriram Viji, MD, Brakes India, Rama Shankar Pandey, CEO, Tata Green Batteries, Dr. S. Chandrasekar, Director, Roots Group of Companies, P. Prabakaran, MD, L. G. Balakrishnan & Bros, and several other key dignitaries and leaders from the industry.
The two-day expo in Coimbatore saw thought-provoking discussions, ground-breaking demonstrations of innovative products & solutions by people who drive the industry forward and push the aftermarket industry further ahead through their innovation and hard work.
In 2022, ACMA had hosted a similar aftermarket expo in Namakkal which received excellent response. The apex body of the auto component industry is keen on expanding its reach and presence in tier-II and tier-III cities and offer a platform for interaction and engagement among all key stakeholders in the auto component and aftermarket sectors.
The aftermarket industry grew at a remarkable rate of 32.8% in FY22-23 with the sector, often considered to be a recession-proof one, continuing to show promise as one of the most potential segments of growth over the medium- to long-term.
