Ultraviolette today announced that the Shockwave will be built on the company’s newly developed 100V architecture and will launch in the first quarter of 2027. The shift brings the potential for stronger power delivery, higher thermal efficiency, and faster charging for Ultraviolette’s lightweight motorcycle platform.
The Shockwave (FUNDURO) was conceived as a lightweight motorcycle built around the thrill of riding, drawing inspiration from the raw, spirited character of classic two-stroke motorcycles as Ultraviolette’s take on pure, unfiltered riding fun.
In preparation for the launch, Ultraviolette has begun setting up its production line within the company’s existing manufacturing facility, and has officially confirmed that the Shockwave will be available in both single- and dual-seat configurations.
Mr. Narayan Subramaniam, Co-founder & CEO, Ultraviolette, said the Shockwave was envisioned from the outset as a motorcycle that would bring back the pure enjoyment of riding, and that bringing the 100V architecture to it is an important step toward that vision. He said the Shockwave and Tesseract have been in parallel development over the past year, with work already underway to set up the Shockwave’s production line.
The move to the 100V architecture follows Ultraviolette’s earlier announcement that the Tesseract would adopt the same platform. While the two vehicles are designed for distinct riding experiences, the shift reflects the company’s continued investment in its electric vehicle technology. Ultraviolette will share final specifications and further launch details closer to the Shockwave’s introduction in Q1 2027.
