Renault India, the wholly owned subsidiary of Renault Group, today launched the all-new Triber 100PS, marking the Indian debut of the company’s new Renault Group Entry Platform (RGEP). Priced from ₹7.84 lakh (ex-showroom), the car brings together seven-seat flexibility, turbocharged performance, fuel efficiency, and sub-4-metre tax benefits in one package.

The Triber 100PS is Renault India’s first vehicle built on RGEP, an adaptable architecture developed to support future mobility needs and multiple powertrain solutions. Renault said the car is not just a powertrain upgrade but a comprehensively re-engineered vehicle, with changes across engine management, thermal systems, chassis tuning, and structural integration.
It is powered by Renault’s turbocharged TCe 100 engine, producing 100 PS and a segment-leading 180 Nm of torque, supported by a new Renault Engine Management System (R-EMS). The car delivers a certified fuel efficiency of 21 kmpl. Other engineering changes include an advanced thermal management architecture with a Brushless DC (BLDC) cooling fan, structural enhancements for durability and crash performance, revised suspension geometry, front and rear anti-roll bars, MTV damper technology, optimised braking calibration, and dedicated vehicle dynamics tuning for Indian roads.
Mr. Francisco Hidalgo, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Renault India, said the launch is an important step in the company’s product roadmap, following the recent Kwid and Duster Adventure introductions, and marks another milestone in its programme of 12 product interventions over 18 months. He said the car brings together performance, practicality, efficiency, and value for Indian families.

Dr. Vikraman Vellandi, Head – Renault Engineering, Renault Group India, said delivering 100 PS and 180 Nm while retaining the Triber’s modularity, comfort, and efficiency required the engine, thermal, structural, suspension, braking, and vehicle-dynamics systems to work together as one package.
The Triber 100PS retains flexible seating for five, six, or seven occupants, with Easy-Fix third-row seats, slide-and-recline second-row seating, and one-touch tumble access. With its sub-four-metre length and 1.0-litre petrol engine, it qualifies for the 18% GST rate applicable to small petrol cars. More than 2.5 lakh Triber vehicles have been sold in India. Other highlights include a 625-litre expandable boot with five seats, 182 mm ground clearance, 23 litres of interior storage, and roof rails with a 50 kg load capacity.
Depending on the variant, the car offers an eight-inch floating touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital LED instrument cluster, automatic air-conditioning, cruise control, a wireless charger, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, a Smart Access Card, and independent rear air-conditioning with second- and third-row vents. It comes with six airbags and 21 safety features as standard, with front parking sensors, a rear-view camera with guidelines, and a tyre pressure monitoring system depending on the variant.
The launch supports Renault India’s futuREady India strategic roadmap, which focuses on new products, advanced architectures, and globally proven technologies tailored to Indian customers.
