Maruti Suzuki Eeco Crosses 15 Lakh Cumulative Sales, Launches Star Edition

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced a landmark cumulative sales milestone of 15 lakh units for the Eeco, reinforcing its leadership in India’s van segment. Launched in January 2010, the Eeco has grown into one of India’s most trusted mobility solutions for families, entrepreneurs, businesses, and institutions.

The pace of growth has accelerated significantly over the years. The first 5 lakh sales took eight years, the next 5 lakh under five years, and the most recent 5 lakh in just three-and-a-half years — the fastest 5 lakh milestone in the Eeco’s journey.

Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “The 15 lakh sales milestone is a celebration of the progress of our customers and the enduring trust they have placed in Eeco. For many customers, Eeco is not just a mode of transport; it is an enabler of aspiration and livelihood.” He noted that 65% of Eeco sales came from rural markets in FY2025-26, while 55% of customers are first-time buyers and over 51% are business owners.

The Eeco portfolio spans 13 variants across 5-seater and 6-seater passenger versions, Tour V, Ambulance, and Cargo models, with petrol and S-CNG powertrain options. The growing preference for S-CNG is reflected in its share of Eeco sales rising four-fold — from 12% in FY2019-20 to 48% in FY2025-26. The latest Eeco is powered by a 1.2L Advanced K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine delivering fuel efficiency of 19.71 km/l in petrol and 26.78 km/kg in S-CNG.

Safety features include 6 airbags as standard, ESP, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, and 3-point ELR seatbelts for all seats. Comfort features include a digital instrument cluster, air conditioning, and reclining front seats.

To mark the milestone, Maruti Suzuki has introduced the Eeco Star Edition, featuring 18 exclusive exterior and interior accessories, body-coloured bumpers, and enhanced cabin styling — offering a more premium and contemporary expression of one of India’s most versatile vans.
