Bosch Limited has announced a new joint venture with Brakes India Private Limited and Wheels India Limited, both part of the TSF Group, to strengthen capabilities in advanced air systems for commercial vehicles.

The proposed venture will operate as a 50:50 partnership between Bosch and TSF Group companies, represented by Brakes India and Wheels India, and is expected to commence operations by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.

The collaboration aims to develop and supply next-generation electronically controlled and software-driven air system technologies as the commercial vehicle industry increasingly shifts towards intelligent and connected vehicle architectures.

The new entity will focus on engineering, manufacturing and sales of advanced modules covering air compression, air processing, air suspension and air parking brake systems. The joint venture will be headquartered in Chennai, while the global supply chain, including India operations, will be managed jointly by Bosch, Brakes India and Wheels India entities.

Mr. Guruprasad Mudlapur, President of the Bosch Group in India and Managing Director of Bosch Limited, said the partnership represents a strategic move to strengthen Bosch’s leadership position in the commercial vehicle segment. He noted that by combining engineering and manufacturing strengths, the companies aim to develop intelligent air system modules that can support the next generation of advanced commercial vehicles globally.

Mr. Sandeep Nelamangala, Joint Managing Director of Bosch Limited and President of Bosch Mobility India, highlighted the industry’s ongoing transition from conventional mechanical systems to software-led vehicle architectures. He added that the partnership expands Bosch’s commercial vehicle motion management portfolio and strengthens its role in software-driven mobility solutions.

Brakes India Managing Director Mr. Sriram Viji said the partnership would support the development of more integrated system-level solutions for commercial vehicle manufacturers. He noted that the company’s experience in pneumatic braking systems would enable the venture to deliver advanced air braking technologies aligned with future mobility requirements.

Mr. Srivats Ram, Chairman and Managing Director of Wheels India, said the company’s decades-long experience in air suspension systems for buses would complement the collaboration. He added that the partnership with Bosch would help accelerate the development of electronic air suspension technologies for global customers.

The boards of Bosch Group, Bosch Limited, Brakes India and Wheels India have already approved the transaction. The companies said the joint venture is expected to address rising industry demand for greater vehicle efficiency, enhanced safety and higher levels of automation in commercial vehicles.
