BYD India To Raise EV Prices By Up To 2% From July 2026

BYD India has announced a price revision across its electric passenger vehicle portfolio, with the revised pricing set to come into effect from July 1, 2026.

The company said the increase, driven primarily by sustained foreign exchange fluctuations, will range between 1% and 2% depending on the model and variant.

To provide customers greater price certainty, BYD India said buyers who complete bookings during May and June 2026 will continue to benefit from current prices, provided deliveries are completed on or before July 31, 2026. Bookings made from July 1 onwards will attract the revised prices.

Mr. Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India, said the revision has been necessitated by movement in foreign exchange rates.

“Even in a challenging market environment, BYD India remains focused on delivering high-value, advanced, safe and premium electric mobility solutions to customers. We continue to see strong market demand for products such as the BYD ATTO 3 and the BYD SEALION 7, reflecting growing confidence in premium electric mobility among Indian consumers,” he said.

The company noted that the ATTO 3 has strengthened its position in India’s premium electric SUV segment, while the recently launched SEALION 7 has also received encouraging market response across the country.

A major differentiator for BYD in India continues to be its emphasis on in-house technology innovation. The company highlighted its Blade Battery technology, Cell-to-Body integration and 8-in-1 electric powertrain architecture, which together contribute to faster charging, improved driving range, enhanced cabin space and a connected driving experience across its EV portfolio.

Globally, BYD is also advancing its next-generation mobility technologies, including the second-generation Blade Battery and advanced flash-charging systems aimed at improving charging speeds, safety, energy efficiency and overall vehicle performance.

The company currently operates through a network of 48 dealerships across 40 Indian cities, offering integrated sales and aftersales services nationwide as part of its strategy to strengthen customer accessibility and ownership experience.
