Tesla has strengthened its presence in India with the launch of its first in-mall charging facility at Nexus Seawoods mall in Navi Mumbai, marking a new step in building convenient and accessible EV infrastructure in the country.

The new charging site, located in the B1 parking area of the mall, features a total of eight chargers, including four V4 Superchargers offering fast DC charging up to 250 kW and four Destination Chargers providing 11 kW AC charging. This setup allows Tesla owners to choose between quick top-ups or longer-duration charging while they shop or spend time at the mall.
The company said its Superchargers can add up to 275 km of range in just 15 minutes for a Model Y, making long-distance travel more practical. Tesla’s integrated app ecosystem further enhances the experience by enabling users to locate chargers, monitor charging progress, and complete payments seamlessly.
With this addition, Tesla now operates four charging stations across India, with a total of 20 Superchargers and 14 Destination Chargers. The move is part of Tesla’s broader strategy to expand its charging network in high-traffic locations such as malls, highways and rest stops.
Alongside the charging station, Tesla has also opened a pop-up store in the mall’s main atrium, offering visitors an opportunity to explore its vehicles through guided walkarounds, test drives and interactive product experiences.
The company said the initiative reinforces its commitment to making electric mobility more accessible and convenient in India. Tesla’s Model Y is currently available in the country starting at INR 59.89 lakh, supported by home charging solutions for a seamless ownership experience.
