Maruti Suzuki India Limited has introduced ‘Quickstop’, a compact and rapidly deployable service format aimed at making vehicle servicing more convenient and accessible. Built using modified containers, these prefabricated units are designed to deliver routine maintenance and minor repair services with minimal infrastructure and setup time.

The Quickstop facilities are strategically located in high-vehicle-density areas such as corporate campuses, airport zones and fleet hubs, enabling customers to access servicing at places they frequently visit. The initiative is intended to integrate vehicle servicing into daily routines, reducing the need for dedicated service centre visits.
Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said the concept addresses the growing need for convenience as customers’ schedules become increasingly demanding. He noted that office-goers can drop off their vehicles at on-site facilities and collect them after work, while fleet operators can benefit from reduced downtime and improved vehicle availability.
The Quickstop model operates through collaboration with dealer partners, who manage the facilities, while space is provided by corporate entities or fleet operators. This approach allows for faster expansion and cost-efficient deployment.
In line with sustainability goals, the facilities incorporate eco-friendly practices such as waterless car washing and the use of battery-powered equipment.
Maruti Suzuki has already set up 10 Quickstop facilities in the pilot phase across cities including Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Bagdogra, Calicut and Surat, with plans to expand the initiative further.
