TecAlliance and Automoto Launch MotoDoc to Digitise India’s Workshop Ecosystem

At ACMA Automechanika 2026 in New Delhi, Automoto, in collaboration with TecAlliance, unveiled MotoDoc, a next-generation garage operating system aimed at addressing one of the Indian automotive aftermarket’s biggest gaps – lack of structured data and digital continuity at the workshop level.
MotoDoc has been designed as an end-to-end platform that manages the complete workshop workflow, from vehicle intake and diagnostics to parts identification, repair execution, billing, and customer engagement. Powered by TecAlliance’s TecDoc catalogue, the system enables accurate vehicle and parts identification, reducing misdiagnosis and improving repair efficiency.

According to Mr. Ravish Deshpande, Managing Director – India, TecAlliance, the collaboration combines global data standards with local workshop realities. He noted that TecAlliance’s role as a data partner is to bring standardisation, transparency, and trust into the aftermarket, enabling workshops to identify the right part for the right vehicle without guesswork.

A key differentiator of MotoDoc is its use of AI-driven diagnostics and condition analysis, while deliberately keeping the interface simple for mechanics. Mr. Francis Jacob, Co-Founder of Automoto, explained that workshops are not expected to understand AI. Instead, the system converts complex diagnostics into clear, actionable instructions, allowing mechanics to focus purely on execution.
With its focus on intuitive adoption, data accuracy, and ecosystem-wide connectivity, MotoDoc aims to help transform India’s largely unorganised workshop sector into a more efficient, transparent, and digitally enabled aftermarket.
