The 6th edition of ACMA Automechanika New Delhi has firmly established itself as the largest and most comprehensive edition of the show to date, reflecting the growing confidence of India’s automotive aftermarket. Spread across more than 51,000 square metres, the sixth edition brings together over 870 exhibitors and features more than 3,000 product displays, highlighting the scale and diversity of the industry.
Speaking to MOTORINDIA, Mr. Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd., said the exhibition clearly mirrors the sector’s current momentum. “What this show tells the industry very clearly is that the aftermarket is thriving. It is growing, it is buoyant, and companies are investing with confidence,” said Mr. Manek. He added that recent global trade developments have further strengthened opportunities for Indian manufacturers and exporters.
The participation of over 500 first-time exhibitors underlines a decisive shift towards organization, innovation, and ambition within the sector. According to Mr. Manek, Indian companies are increasingly looking beyond domestic markets and preparing to compete globally, making the timing of this edition particularly significant.
Building a Global Platform for Knowledge, Innovation, and Growth
Beyond scale, Messe Frankfurt is focused on strengthening ACMA Automechanika as a platform for knowledge exchange and technological advancement. Mr. Manek emphasized that India’s progress is not limited to manufacturing alone but extends into R&D, digitalization, and innovation. “India is at a stage where it is hungry for knowledge. It absorbs what it learns, scales it up, and delivers it to the market,” he noted.
Through vertical conferences and the global Automechanika network, exhibitors gain exposure to international best practices. “Knowledge transfer is critical. When companies travel with us globally, they learn, adapt, and bring those insights back to India,” Mr. Manek explained.
Looking ahead, Mr. Manek is confident that the show’s momentum will continue to build. “India is in a position where it does not just think about what could be done, it makes it happen,” he said, adding that future editions will return bigger and broader in scope, reflecting India’s entrepreneurial energy and its rising influence in the global automotive aftermarket.
