BMW India has achieved a major milestone by delivering 1,000 units of its flagship electric sedan, the BMW i7, since its debut in the country. This milestone underscores the growing acceptance of luxury electric mobility in India and reinforces BMW’s leadership in the premium EV segment.

Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India, said the BMW i7 is “a bold declaration of Forwardism,” combining avant-garde design, electrifying performance and uncompromised luxury. He added that the strong customer response reflects the i7’s role in shaping the future of modern mobility in India while cementing BMW’s dominance in the luxury EV market.
The BMW i7 brings together electric innovation and top-tier craftsmanship in a way that signals a new era for premium automobiles. On the outside, it stands out with a bold design language, featuring split headlamps with Swarovski-crafted crystal DRLs and an illuminated BMW Iconic Glow kidney grille. Its large proportions and striking silhouette make an unmistakable statement of presence and prestige.

Inside, the cabin offers a completely reimagined luxury experience. The BMW Interaction Bar and the curved digital cockpit define the futuristic front cabin, while the rear elevates comfort to a segment-leading level. The highlight is the 31-inch 8K BMW Theatre Screen with Amazon Fire TV built in, transforming the rear seat into a private entertainment lounge. Executive Lounge seating reclines up to 42.5 degrees and is complemented by premium Merino leather, multi-stage massage functions, seat ventilation, and the panoramic Sky Lounge roof with configurable LED illumination.
Powering the i7 is BMW’s fifth-generation eDrive technology. The i7 eDrive50 produces 449 hp and 650 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 5.5 seconds. With a WLTP range of up to 603 km, the sedan combines long-distance capability with silent, effortless performance, making it suitable for both daily commutes and long highway journeys.
