Citroën has deepened its India strategy by moving to a sharper, customer-centric production model that responds directly to real-time demand. Under this approach, select vehicles will now be manufactured only against confirmed bookings, ensuring the company builds what customers want—while avoiding excess dealer inventory.

At the core of the new model is a continuous listen, learn and launch cycle. Citroën blends insights from retail data, digital sentiment and dealer feedback to decide which variants to prioritise and produce. The mechanism supports faster decisions, better market alignment and more efficient capital deployment. For customers, it means clearer delivery timelines at the time of booking and far more flexibility as the variant mix adapts to live demand.

Mr. Kumar Priyesh, Business Head and Director, Automotive Brands, Stellantis India, said the new approach is central to the Citroën 2.0 strategy for India. “We listen closely, act quickly and build what customers ask for. The bookings-led mechanism aligns capacity with real demand while sharpening our portfolio. The Aircross X Max Turbo and C3 Live (O) are the first outcomes, with more rolling actions planned,” he said.
